Our promise

Starting university can be daunting, whether you're Muslim or not. BRISOC is here to be your home away from home: community, friendship, and a real sense of belonging as we journey towards what pleases Allah ﷻ together. Wherever you are on your journey, there's a place for you here.

Week by week

One good week, every week.

Term-time at Brisoc is always busy with events to socialise and increase in knowledge. Here is what a normal week looks like!

Jummuah, every Friday

All year round. Usually 1:15pm, moving to 12:15pm from November. Impactful subjects for Muslim students to reflect on.

Halaqahs

Weekly gatherings to learn and recite the Quran whilst sitting in good company. Wherever you are on your journey, you're welcome... we also tailor our halaqahs to different levels.

Sports

Weekly football and netball. Football is Friday evening at St Paul's Community Centre. A great way to meet new life-long friends. If you have any sports you'd like to play message us!

Socials

Games nights, dinners, socials, sports, and retreats. Something for everyone.

Charity

Week of Change, charity dinners, bake sales and samosa sales, for causes here and abroad.

Knowledge

Interactive and structured learning with the Roots Academy programme, weekly halaqahs, and talks from well known speakers throughout the year.
